With the exception of an all age Art Camp on Brac and on Little in December for everyone to express themselves about Hurricane Paloma and her aftermath.

Due to the lovely rainy season and then what will sure to be a hot summer the Cayman Brac Adult Art Group will meet at the Heritage House in NorthEast Bay until September. If it gets too hot or too wet in the garden then go inside the Heritage House for some ac comfort and take advantage of the small still life set up.
Always remember to take time for your art!

The exceptions to meeting at Longbeach during February is on the 9th of February group will not meet but adult art group works of art will be on display at NGCI booth during Ag Fair on top of bluff. The other exception it will be cancelled for is the Kids Art Camp.
Picture link below shows last years NGCI booth at Ag Fair. Where kids were enjoying a mini-chalk fest show leading up Cayfest-Chalkfest event during Bracfest!
This year the kids will be asked to draw what they think of the National Gallery here on the Sister Islands and their work will be exhibited during the big art weekend of the NGCI Sister Islands Art Camps, Lectures and Kids Exhibit.
LongBeach is a scenic iron-shore, rocky dune beach. The cliffs at the end are perfect for painting either from afar, up-close, and on top of. Adult Artists meet at turn around at 9am for a short hike to the Longbeach picture sign to paint from afar off. Artists are welcomed, weather depending, to go up to the cliffs and find their own spot, passing by the the blow holes which are paintings in themselves. Or stick with the group to either paint, read an art book or converse with another artist. It is rocky and not much shade, no facilities so remember to bring study shoes, a large brim hat, water and your supplies.
NGCI Adult Art Group was officially cancelled until January, but Pamela Ebanks and myself continued to paint at the park unofficially every Saturday for the month of November. Click on link below to see my watercolor of Pamela sketching at the Park back in November!
We weren’t able to continue in December, but Ms Susan Lueck went to the park to paint one Saturday in December. Susan did meet up with Pamela and myself for an impromptu Adult Art Group meeting on the 5th Jan at the Park, in which the National Gallery Deputy Director Natalie Coleman dropped in for an informal chat.
Happy fall everyone!
Due to this years wonderfully rainy season NGCI Adult Art Group will meet at the West End Park as of today 13th of October until the middle of December every Saturday from 9am until 12noon! There is an out door theatre there and a few cabanas to shelter under in case of a down pour, with enough space to even continue painting if one wished to! Lovely natural landscaping to paint there, thatch trees, red birch etc not to mention those friendly iguanas that love to share your lunch!![]()
